Product Description

The Bluebird Isolation Transformer uses two separate windings — primary and secondary — coupled only by electromagnetic induction, not a direct electrical connection. That separation is what gives it its main function: stopping electrical faults and noise on the incoming supply from reaching the connected equipment, rather than correcting the voltage itself.

Output is 230V for a 230V input, single phase. The range runs from 0.5 KVA up to 20 KVA in single phase. The secondary winding can be earthed to suit the installation, which helps manage leakage current on equipment where that matters — diagnostic imaging machines, lab instruments, audio and broadcast gear.

Because it isolates rather than regulates, an unstable supply still reaches the equipment as an unstable supply, just with the noise and fault-coupling risk removed. Where both isolation and voltage correction are needed, it’s paired with a separate stabilizer or CVT.

Galvanic Isolation

Primary and secondary windings are electrically separate, so power passes through by induction, not a direct connection, isolating equipment from earth faults and noise on the incoming supply.

Noise Reduction

Cuts common-mode noise and interference before it reaches the load, which matters for sensitive electronic and medical equipment.

Leakage Control

Secondary winding can be earthed independently, helping control leakage current and improve system safety.

Vacuum Impregnated Winding

Reduces heating and moisture ingress, extending winding life under continuous use.

  • Correcting an unstable or fluctuating input voltage on its own, since isolation transformers don't regulate voltage
  • Loads that need a stepped-up or stepped-down output, since standard isolation units are wound 1:1
  • Situations where isolation and voltage regulation are both required without pairing it with a separate stabilizer
